About the Artist
Hello, my name is Sage Friss. I'm an artist living and working in Missoula, MT.
I create surreal animal scenes using Copic markers and acrylic paint. I also use colored pencils and pens.
I seek to capture tiny details in my work. Animals are often more complicated and beautiful than a cursory look can reveal. I spend dozens of hours on each piece of art I create and develop intimate connections with the creatures I draw. Many species are looked down upon in an arbitrary way. I hope my work gives viewers a different perspective on the world around them.
